Playing around with Nardis this morning, which is already such an evocative piece, and going so far out to barely recognize the composition until midway when stating the theme intentionally.

I listened back again, and this doesn’t even sound dissonant to me. What’s that mean? Minor seconds should sound nasty, but they just tickle like sugar cubes.
