Alice's Restaurant works well over those changes...

Missed the last two so I’ll compensate by getting one in early.

Ah, crap, I broke my tradition of doing my take first and then listening to y'all.

Now I'm not sure what I can add...

I'm going to try one tomorrow morning...got a few surprises set up for the last 2 weeks of of '21...so I want to make sure I get in on this one...and I'll be sure to make some comments on these great takes as well...y'all tearing it up.

Is that a B-3? Love the sound of an organ.

I like your style of drumless combo. I've always liked that sound but it's harder to pull off. Also like the good mix of running amok with your own ideas while hitting the material.

Really enjoyed your take! You played it in a way in which I’d like to approach

    Lotta good takes.

Triple: Nice tone, good swinging feel.
Running: I like the way you outline the chords.
Peterson: I like the bluesy ideas.
John: you play with a kind of fire/passion that's great
WZ: I like the sparse approach. I try to do that too.
Clint: How did you make a guitar sound like that? More seriously, a lot of nice stuff there.

Thanks! Yeah it is a challenge to play without drums!
I dig your take as well, cool organ playing!

fantastic chord work! Do you recommend a specific approach or learning material for a focus on this area?

Rpjazzguitar each chorus is more exciting than the last, nice

ronstuff that metheny style lick at 1:08 really kicks off the chorus, nice rhythms

lionelsax i loved that whole tone lick at 1:35!

runningbeage that was a great treatment of the melody and some awesome ideas on the changes

triplejazz i enjoyed your feel on the single note and that you comped for yourself for a little bit there

clint55 i think you’re the only one who play II7 instead of bVdim in the 12th bar, i like it and im gonna try it sometime

    peterson great bluesisms in there
