Tim Lerch Master Class

I love free master classes on youtube. Sometimes if they are really good I might download them in case they get removed for enjoying over time. Gonna check this one out, everyone seem to like Tim Lerch, curious what a master class might contain. Usually master classes cost $50-100 dollars so really nice to just be able to watch one for free.

There is a Ted Greene vid at The Musicians Institute (GTI). At one point he plays a Bach improvisation and notes..this is all diatonic..

Tims vid is using that kind of map with the chords in his progressions he is showing the class.

The basic tools is learning tonal chord construction and their inversions and being aware of the voicing in those inversions..voice leading..

As Tim says its difficult to know where the voicings are with each inversion and how they relate to the next chord in a progression and the melody.

Yes its those dame middle voices that make you nuts !!
