Triplet, chord tone note placement?

When playing a triplet, do you play the chord tone on the first note of the triplet?

Obviously, there are many options, but what's your preferred option?

Depends on the accenting of the triplet.

Never really thought about it.

The only place I’ve really seen triplet rules would be the Barry Harris or David Baker scalar line rules.
