When playing a triplet, do you play the chord tone on the first note of the triplet?
Obviously, there are many options, but what's your preferred option?
See simple triplet example below:

I quite like the simple approach:
-
Depends on the accenting of the triplet.
ba NA na
BLUE berr y
-
Never really thought about it.
The only place I’ve really seen triplet rules would be the Barry Harris or David Baker scalar line rules.
-
I find that with 8th-y lines with lots of enclosures, if you play them as triplets, sometimes chord tones lay on downbeats and sometimes not, obviously, but the enclosure "highlights" the chord tone regardless of where it lands rhythmically, especially in fast lines.
