I just found an interesting fact about the Lydian dominant chord: it contains the exact same notes as the Lydian dominant chord with that #11 as root. (Don’t know yet what to do with it other than some big key changes)

I can't fully get it. Do you mean chord like D9(#11) has same notes than Ab9(#11)?

    Dominant though
    A C# D# G
    D# G A C#
(I’m skipping the 5ths I forgot to mention- for dominant chords. Imho if a chord has the 5th in it, it’s function as dominant is lost. Also fine just not to use as setup for dropping back to 5 steps lower, that’s not the one anymore. Of course application of this doesn’t need to be so rigid as I say it.

But with the 5 in them they become as you write 7b9 Lydian. Which sound darn ugly to me!
