Ben, actually no. I should then, I really like his records but much more from a compositional perspective or the way he plays for the project - the playing is folded into that in that context.

I saw him a lot when he hosted a session so it was mostly standards. And at Bar Next Door he played all standards. It was absolutely heinous.

I also saw Ben once at that same session but Tony Malabee was in town and they just played for an hour and a half. No song break. Just free stuff the whole time.

It was also a pinball bar … so there were all the weird pinball sounds in the background the whole time.
