George Benson style arpeggio and chromatic with back picking

This is a typical benson triplet lick you hear on many of his recordings, combined with a chromatic line descending.
Benson often plays these lines starting with an up-stroke because it's more natural and avoids some of the inside-
out picking that is so awkward. I call it back-picking for this reason. He is a master of this sort of thing.

This particular line can be used over any chord diatonically in G. If used over GMaj7, change the starting note to a
    B natural.

I'm using a Steve Holst Jim Hall / D'Aquisto model guitar and playing through a fractal FM3 preamp direct to the board.

I've had a rough few months with a lot of mental health hiccups, a really bad bout of Covid and a family member with long covid. I apologize for it being so long since I released one of these. I hope to make it more frequent from here on in.

Know that it means so much for me to have you guys in my corner and on my side. I love you, Always & Forever.

    Sorry to hear that.

I was thinking it was the new Holst guitar acquisition that inspired you to start posting these threads again, certainly they are appreciated by many here.

Smoking. Looks like you were picking from the elbow at faster tempos. Have you talked about the mechanics of your picking?
