Beyond thrilled, actually.
    You weren’t rude at all.
You are one of the nicest people we got here. To me, you answered appropriately.
I hope I hear your excitement all the way to my house when you open that case.

I'd like to thank you for participating here. I'm a woodworking guitar player and I really enjoy your input, photos of your shop, your jigs, and of course the pics of your instruments. How I'd love to own one some day.

(I find jigs to be a window into the mind of the builder. be careful what you post :-)
Nice of you to mention how much you appreciate my input, ccroft - I thank you for the kind words. Yeah, I've often thought that if I did bursts every day, I could approach the work as casually as the Gibson painters seem to (instead of feeling like I'm about to perform open heart surgery - lol). Of course, a mistake isn't the end of the world - but it does mean removing the finish and starting from scratch - a very time consuming setback, and something I dread like the plague - I like everything to go like clockwork....but I guess my jigs have already told you that : )

Thanks Joe, it's that old issue of tone of voice you don't get on the Internet, and Hammer was right, it's more orange/red than you might normally see. So better, IMHO, to apologize rather than not I could have simply said it was exactly as I requested and I should have. In a place as great as this place is, I'd rather not have anyone think ill of me for a 2 word post!

I agree. Guitar porn. I mean "archtop erotica". At least that's how it makes me feel (and it feels gooood).

Is the red one full or semi hollow? I have to say it ticks a lot of boxes for me. I prefer the Venetian cutaway, but daaaamn that’s nice. I’m assuming 1.75” rims?

It’s a 15” fully hollow archtop. Laminated back and sides, solid carved spruce top. 2.25” deep.

So are you fabricating the metal sections of those tailpieces and plating them yourself or do you farm some of that out and just keep your focus on the wood, inlay, and fret work? Regardless, looking damn good!

Best fret work I have ever played. I wish I could get Mark to re-fret all my Gibson’s.

You won’t find a file mark anywhere too.

I do believe the job he hates the most is the final lacquer buffing.
