Another deal where GC underpriced a guitar. After putting proper Argentine strings on it, the guitar really sounds fantastic:

Congrats! I bought one around the time they came out (2005 ish?). Been a while ago however think it was about $1K. Owned it for about 7 years, it was a great, fun guitar. Lots of cork sniffing in the GJG world about Asian built instruments, however that little 250M held it's own during plenty of jams.
My needs changed and I found I was playing more rhythm with a violinist I gigged with. I sold the 250M and went with a Djangology Grand Bouche (think made in same shop or group in China that produced Altamira guitars). Nice guitar as well, however I decided to just upgrade to a Dupont, which is what I currently play a 1998 MC 30-14. Wonderful instrument. Unfortunately the violinist I worked with moved out of state and I'm not doing much GJ. I adore the Dupont though and take it traveling a lot.
Enjoy your new Blonde!

Great guitars, these Gitane guitars. I love my John Jorgensen model.

I had a Jorgenson long scale D-hole...sold when I was having a "I don't want to play gypsy jazz anymore" moment.
Mistake. Was a great guitar.

I had a 250M for a long while. By any measure it is a great acoustic and has great projection. I had a "I'm never going feel comfortable in the Gypsy bag" realization but continued to use it as a nice acoustic. They're quite versatile guitars. No longer have mine.
