I suspect this question displays that i didn't get my dad's electrical engineering genes, but i've been unable to find this out in searches.
It is a pain to unplug the cord from my Slaman nylon, and even from the input to the RMC pictured above from their site. The Slaman has no battery in it; the rmc unit does, and i think the battery only drains when i have the 1/4 inch cable plugged into the mono out. I understand i can use phantom power, but i'm not---only the 9V in the unit. The 13 pin cord doesn't draw power, does it? only the 1/4 inch out to the amp? thanks for the help.
Hi, I've had that system once and it is indeed a pain to plug and unplug. If I ever get a flattop with a pickup system I'll get one with a regular jack system, for sure (I don't think these days RMC sound that much better than regular pickups).
As for your question, if I remember correctly, it's the opposite. It drwas battery if the input is plugged in, regardless of output. But it was a long time ago, so I may be wrong. All my other battery pedals work that way, they drain battery if the input is plugged, regardless of the output.
Yeah, can you post a picture or two of the bridge/saddle so we know what we're talking about? If you mean that the saddle is *leaning* towards the nut that is not normal and can indeed cause...
Yes I've seen the 200 going for less than the 120s...the slimmer body and double cutaway is very interesting (though I would presumably still need a pickguard) and I'm not sure how much different...
If you have two sound sources and hypothesize that one is more compressed than the other (in this case, a guitar plugged into both channels of the bud with an ABY pedal; one channel with input gain...
Wine "Rustoleum" Red and Ebony are the cheap Gibson finishes. No impact on tone or playability. But they are the lowest cost finish and hence you should not pay too much for them. Natural costs the...
The open string and 12th fret harmonic will always be in tune with each other. The 12th fret harmonic should also be in tune with the same string fretted at 12th fret. Is that the case?
RP,
My guess is that it allows you to match the signal strength coming into the input while the output from the gain to the volume is fixed. My pickups are hot so I keep my input gain at around...
