I hadn't been there for 30 + years, and our family of 8 is now down to 3. So when I first got out of the car, and started unpacking after all that time, I couldn't help but think of my brother and I in the old days. I now head up there each year and when anyone ask me what I do up there, I say ' stare at the water '. : )

    Thx .
I spent quite a few summers a little west of there in Webster, WI, as a doc at a summer camp. Beautiful part of the country, and literally a lake at the end of every road.

That's interesting because this is the first year that resort has had WiFi. And yes it's ** STARLINK ** not sure which version, but it's as good or close to my cable service at home.

    ......sorry....

The bugs weren't /aren't bad at all.......
Bottom line, for me anyway, it's the only place I can visit that's still basically the same as it was sixty years ago. No school, church, etc etc has remained 'un-bothered' like this resort, Wis. DNR notwithstanding.

They do indeed write books about places like this, perhaps just too few.

Don't worry, with my memory I'm likely to forget why I thought some remark would be a joke (not this time though)
