I recently aquired this beautiful guitar - it's a players: pickups changed, bridge not original and probably some other stuff. And it's the thin version, but I've been looking for the deep version in good condition for too long and this is in great shape so I decided to go with it!
Now we've recorded some duo stuff for my event band and I'm extremely happy with the sound of that guitar! I've had many guitars in the past, but this might be the ultimate classic jazz guitar sound I'm hearing in my head! Microphone in front of the guitar (not the amp) was also there and added to the mix.
Let me know what you think!

Happy new (old) guitar day! Sounds nice and punchy! (Thunky?)
An ES-125 is actually all the (jazz)guitar you need (don’t tell my wife or she’ll want me to sell the other 19 guitars).
I have a deep body ES-125 from 1950. Sounds like this:
Or this:
But can also sound like this:

Congratulations on your new-to-you ES125.
Thinline guitars are my favorite body type. Don't know why, but they are.
Your playing sounds 'happy'. That's always a good sign.
May you have many happy days with your newfound love.

Nice! I've got a Guild T-50 Slim (very similar design to 125T) and agree, it is a great formula.

gain , as your 3rd example ?
