Nice guitar! The Gibson logo is the earlier type, but the serial number would be about right for 1947. Many discrepancies from Kalamazoo!
My 1947 L7 has the thicker script logo and a low A-serial number.

I love these old L7's. This looks like a good specimen! I own a '44, and it's definitely my heart's desire! You grow quite fond of them. If I was in the market for one and lived withing striking distance of this one, I'd make the drive to check it out. The tuners would definitely be on my list of changes. I have the open backed early ones. I like the case too! That's a bonus.

I have a 1947 L-12 bought from Time Warp Records in Los Angeles. It has the same headstock and, yes, goldplated hardware. The back is a nice blistered maple sunburst. These are about the only differences between my 1947 L-12 and the 1947 L-7 in that CL ad.
