A long awaited union. I've had the MB for 30 years, the 175 1 day.

You need to sit down and recording the session on video. Play some Joe Pass type things and then say...............wow God is good. It could get better than this but it would involve things that have little to do with guitars.

Man I love ‘60s Gibson archtops. That’s about the same color as my ‘64 electric L5. Love the florentine cut they did on about everything that decade.

the necks pre about 1970 are just wonderful. They seem to have a flow and beautiful feel to them that I never find on modern guitars.

    enjoy and thanks for sharing!

Rotated the photo here for you, because a gorgeous old Gibson needs to be seen like this. Congrats on the new 175, nothing beats a great new (old) guitar day!

Thank you for your kind comments and for rotating the pic. I wish I knew how! It looks much better now.
    Cheers

So many people chase tone with a bunch of other guitars, when it's the 175 that's the answer. And what a cool 175 this is.

Almost any freeware photo editor will do the rotation - when you rotate and then save, some "metadata" indicating orientation gets saved with the pic. But a really easy way to do it is to paste the pic into MS Word, rotate it there, then click on the pic itself and choose "save as picture" from the little contextual menu that pops up when you click on the pic.

    PS - that's a sweet 175! Congrats & enjoy!

Thanks for the tips and the kind words.
With regard to the rotation, I find it only happens when I post on JGOL.
