This is a clip of Charles Altura playing at Small's Jazz Club in NYC on January 13, 2022.

I can see that he has pedals (including some type of expression/volume pedal) and I'm wondering
what else he might be using to get this tone? (besides his fingers, strings, pickups, style of guitar, the Deluxe Reverb amp, etc, etc, etc).

    Thanks for your comments.

The pedals are: Fulltone Plimsoul overdrive > Boss volume pedal > TC Electronic Flashback delay > EBS Dynaverb reverb.

Music starts around 45 minutes in.

    Great band, great music.

Y'know, if I could play like him I would smile.
He doesn't. Like, ever. Maybe it's a generational thing.

Apparently he has a reputation for not smiling.

However, the host at Smalls teased him about it and was able to get him to smile...but only momentarily.

    Love me some Charles Altura!

One of the only known "smiles" by CA (about 2:10) -- watch carefully!:
