The name of this seller should be shared here to prevent any forum members from buying anything from this seller.

Between the rampant theft of today, shipping company problems, insurer problems, quality issues from today's guitar makers and repairmen and sellers without a moral compass, buying guitars sight unseen may be more of a gamble than playing the roulette wheel at the nearest casino.

JZ, no disrespect intended, but please keep sharing your horror stories about guitar purchases online. It keeps my G.A.S. in check and might save me from some pecuniary loss, not to mention unneeded stress.
I am very sorry to read about this mishap. My Super 400 stain issue was obviously not as bad, but I outed the seller as soon as someone here suggested it. Panther Guitars! Worth repeating. Maybe there needs to be new compartment thread: Dealers Not to Deal With. Was this a Pay Pal CC transaction, which would offer protection?

Interesting thread with what seems likely to be an OK outcome despite the misery.

Surely we can all note that requests for info regarding specific parties involved (the seller) are a terrible idea until JZ gets the quatloos back in his pocket. Only then might it be a personal decision on JZ’s part to discuss further, or let it go. For now, we can probably all see to be 100% on board with getting the money back above all else.

(I have never played a Bambino Elite (the spruce top mini-box) and would absolutely love to try one.)

It's not a terrible idea at all. Would you buy a guitar from this person after reading the story here?

    Tomv,

    Read for detail.

    1. No I would not buy from such a person.

    2. It would be truly unwise for JZ to do anything to reduce his chances of a full refund. This includes indulging you.

It is possible that talking about the seller by name could harm his chances for a refund.

I suggest that we make note of this and do whatever we can (even if it is backing off) to help him get a refund.

    3. JZ can surely make his own wise decision after he receives a refund.

Yes, naming the seller now is a terrible idea.

OK, Sheriff. You can lead the posse when you deem it's time for us to get on (or off) our high horses.

    Weak Tom, really.

I am happy that you are satisfied about mentioning your seller.

That is not a useful analog in this situation.

Anyway, best to you and your guitar.

    Over and out.
