Ont thing tho: letting go of really good gear that would not be a snap to replace is always delicate. If you have the money and the room to keep both, give yourself the time of a thorough reflection. But of course, I see and respect your point!

All the best, and enjoy that beauty!
Your words offer food for thought…

Here’s my trio of Gibsons. L-5 is a ‘97, ES-125TDC is from ‘60. I have a long history with the 125 which, while being somewhat of an entry level guitar, is no slouch. It was going to be the one I initially sold to cover the gap in purchasing the 350, but I couldn’t do it. That left the L-5 as the next logical choice. Yet, I don’t think I can bring myself to get rid of it either. I’ve only had it a few months. In that time, I’ve refretted it, made a new pickguard and ebony saddle. It is totally dialed in, needs nothing. I have another option, but it’ll be a while before I sell it as it’s in the midst of a restoration. That’s a Yanuziello electric.

Gonna gig the 350 this evening.
