Even reminds me a bit of Jerry Garcia, at his autowah/jazziest.

(Thats a compliment, I love Jerry!)

The guitar and backing ensemble sound great tonewise. We used to play this song in our 8 pc. rock band in the 70's. But back then we could hear the melody in our group. In your recording, I hate to be critical, but, I don't hear the melody and the whole thing sounds like a soupy mix of notes and chords. How can you call it "Red Clay" ? I just don't hear it. I hear a ton of piano though. Sorry my friend.

    Hi Jimmy Mack,
I hate to be critical too but...;-)
Do you know what is a solo over a chords of "Red Clay? This is a kind of virtual jam.
It is not a problem for me to play melody of "Red Clay"- it is a great melody.
I would like to hear your playing of any song because what you write is weird...
