I had no idea Prince and GB were friends. But why should I be surprised, for GB knows everyone. Prince, now there’s a performer! I heard his concerts were legendary.

Those are truly some of the finest daytime shots I’ve seen. Observe the reflection of the guitar in the surface of the wood. That’s pro level stuff right there! Hey wait..,Joe, is that a grand piano???

What an eye you have Greg! When I purchased this L5 from Patrick Amato's family, I asked my daughter to take a couple of vanity shots. For some reason, we decided to try the top of the Yamaha baby grand piano. I'll let her know that you approve of her work!

Nice! I'm just a couple a miles away. I live off of Springer Road. When I joined this forum over 14 years ago, I didn't think to use a music-related handle. I was a newbie for sure!

You’d have to blind not to make out the curve of a closed piano top. Especially if you’re a piano player! Your daughter has exceptional talent. Is it just a hobby for her?

All of my guitar pics are awful, because they are just "in case" shots from the side. So...

I did a comparison of these two - Guild Benedetto Johnny Smith Award and mid-1990s Guild Artist Award.

Your comparison of the two guitars on the Guild site was excellent. I owned two of the Benedetto Artist awards (made in RI) and also a 71 Artist award (with the DeArmond 1100 pickup). I preferred the vintage example, but none of the three guitars was a keeper for me. My Benedetto models had the 25 5/8 scale (Interesting that the JS models built in Corona had the 25 9/16 scale) Also the Benedetto models had a 1 23/32s nut. My 71 had a 25 1/2 scale and had a 1 5/8 nut. These guitars had a lot of variation from year to year it seems.
