    Absolutely! Many were in fact. I owned a Super Eagle that was.

    Yes, but it's not visually apparent. Many Heritage archtops came with floating pickups but were not built for optimized acoustic response - these look indistinguishable from those built specifically as acoustic instruments. Acoustically-voiced Heritage archtops were often shipped with two pickguards - one with a floating pickup mounted to it, and one without a pickup.
