Never heard of them. They look very nice.

I'd never heard of them either but there really is a lot to like in those. The specs on that 15 are pretty close to my ideal archtop.

I just looked at the seller's page. He's selling a whole lot of guitars from first rate boutique builders, including several who I know well. That doesn't mean that everything he sells is of that quality but at least it tells me that he deals in some very high end and reputable guitars.

Here is a response from the retailer to a few questions. I had asked if there is a blonde 16" version of their 2-pup single cut model. From Guitar Planet:

    Hi!

This is our original project. We worked with one of top arch top guitar manufacture in Japan and have them made to our spec.

Available from our shop only, and thank you very much for your comment!

    Weight 2.4kg

Nut width 43mm, nice and round neck with 12" radius.

1st fret -22mm from top of the fret to the back of neck
10th fret -25mm from top of the fret to the back of neck

No natural finish with TOM available.
This is the only one we made, proto type.

No plan to make SC 16 at the moment.
We were just thinking about it though.

    Please be advised.

    Thank you!

I had a hunch it was going to be something like that. There are some real quality archtop manufacturers in Japan and the prices may be a real bargain for these guitars. Resale will never be easy (especially if the project ends with these) but the quality may far exceed the asking price.

The smaller one reminds me of Sadowsky Jimmy Bruno model in design. Although in specs it says it comes with Fratwound Strings? Must be the College preferred strings LOL !
It looks really good, would love to try it person!

That's how you know it's Japanese! I was once at a ski resort in Japan and the mountain's map pointed out the "rocker rooms"

They might want to consider a more origi al headstock design. Hard to do with so many out there already.

Between the fret markers and the headstock double stripe, they are identifiable.

It would be nice if there are something tying them together, like a double stripe in the fret inlay. They should also do something "extra" for the 12th fret.

Hah! They missed the first fret marker!
