Beautiful, Mark. And the best thing is that you play them.

. I’ve never been a collector, so these are always for playing first and foremost. A secondary consideration is supporting the art of the luthiers who are continuing to make advancements in the field. To me, Tom is top of the list.

I never picked up on the "Long And Winding Road" headstock inlay. That is so sharp!

I only saw that ad now as the result of your comment about it here. Had to use the search function as I otherwise never look in the “for sale” bin. Thanks, very cool.

Sometimes folks assume because you have an expensive guitar you must have money. That is really not right at all. Some folks have manage to buy very valuable guitars at opportune times and even got deals that simply worked. It is also possible they bought the guitars long ago when the price was much less. The other odd duck in this is spending habits.

I don't ever watch TV and do not have cable or dish, and have not paid for that as most folks do for many many years. So I figure 10 years of not paying cable which seems to run about $80 a month...........well after 10 years you bought yourself a nice almost $10k jazz box. I know some generally average guys who own nice guitars.

For folks commenting on the costs of these instruments, let me just say that they’re just not as high as people think. Used Halfling’s come up periodically for around 5k and even the Testadura MK just had one come available for $8k (look at this beauty Tom Ribbecke Testadura MK — Zen Guitar Trading).

Anyway, that means I should be able to replace all 3 for less than $20k. Is that a lot of bread for guitars? Depends on your life priorities and needs, right? I bought a new car 6 years ago for $35k and wheres that today? I’m, 5k trade in value, that’s where. These guitars will serve for a lifetime, and someone else’s too if they’re cared for.
