New pickup on D'Angelico NYL6

Hi everyone,

I bought an used D'angelico NYL6 it's a super guitar I also have a Gibson ES175 but I prefer the NY6L.

Today I am looking about de Dearmond Chief 1100 pick-up it looks great and I thinking to change the original D'angelico pick-up by this one.

Is someone has already done that and what do you think about this pick-up ?

first off..welcome aboard

there are two things to consider...firstly that the neck/body angle is sufficient so that a dearmond 1100 will fit...secondly, though nothing special, the stock pickup is humbucking...the dearmond is a single coil...so some hum may be an issue

otherwise the new guild/dearmond 1100 pickups are very well rated
