    I actully owned one of those. Did not like the sound, like most early century Gibson archtop roundholes. Me no like. As always, JMO.

    At least it looks like they did not put any holes in the guitar.

    Compared to other round hole guitars (dreadnaught, jumbo, concert, etc) they sound very boxy and mids-focused.

    You're probably right. The ad said 1-1, which made no sense to me.

    the gibson L-1 archtop was around from 1902 to the mid 1920's...when it morphed into a flattop!

    the flattop was most famously used by robert johnson
