I do believe that L-5 is by far the most beautifully designed guitar in the world. And Mark has taken the design to a higher level.
Not only they sound even better but they look better, i love his inlay work, tailpiece design and headstock too more than gibson ones.

I really like how Mark incorporates the dual action trussrod into the tongue. On my Special I adjusted the trussrod one time when it was new and the neck never moved again. His fit and finish on things you will never ever see is quite impressive. No kerfed braces on a Campellone. Like it has been said, he took the L5 and built the better mouse trap.

vinny, you'll rarely if ever see kerfed braces on a custom made archtop. Gibson archtops in the early 30's tended to be kerfed including the flagship L-5, but haven't been since. your guitar is coming along nicely, something to look forward to in these uncertain times.

Those birdies are gonna be staring at you while your playing..
There’s a lot of them in that neck heel.
    Beautiful.

I guess this means you won't be needing one of those Tal Farlows.... if you need a place for it to live and be played until you've built the addition on the house for the new arrivals.... let me know! ;-) Seriously, Enjoy. Nothing like playing a guitar you believe is just perfect for you.

One of the things that I love about archtop guitars is looking at all those beautiful, smooth, flowing compound curves.

This lockdown has rekindled my fondness for Bourbon. While I have always been a Jack Daniels guy (Gentleman Jack has been my "drug of choice" for many years now), I have been experimenting with the Kentucky variations (always liked Blantons, though it has gotten hard to find as of late). My new favorite has been Eagle Rare (made by the Buffalo Trace/Blantons folks), Amazing 10 year old, single barrel Kentucky Bourbon for under $40 a bottle.

Sorry for the thread drift Vinny, but in these times, our fellow jazz guitarists need as much help coping as possible.
