This one is a 2014 custom build for a blues player. This was made by the old school Heritage people, back when custom orders didn't break the bank. I got it almost two months ago and just got it back from Pete Moreno setting it up and buffing it out.

It's very light and is essentially a Gibson ES-330L with a few differences. The H-530 is slightly thinner at 1 5/8" and it has a rim jack, which I prefer. The pickups are Lollars. This one has a few custom features. The f holes and headstock are bound. The headstock veneer inlay and the fretboard inlays are MOP. The fretboard is ebony.

I would judge the neck to be a medium. It is similar to the Lucilles in the last decade.

It plays very nicely and sounds like a fine 330. Despite the light body, there is no neck dive.

The finish is almond sunburst. The pics are indoors (it's winter in Michigan). Flash tends to make it a little more red than natural sunlight.

I always enjoy looking at guitars on the forum and hope others feel the same.

VERY nice! The finish looks a lot like the almondburst finish my 2015 H535 has. With Lollar P90s in it, your H530 must sound killer!

    Well done, sir!!

H530's are killer blues/jazz/rock guitars. Yours is one of the best one's I've seen. I owned the very first 530 made by the boys at Kalamazoo...(same finish as yours) and later sold it to a member here. Gone, but not forgotten.

    Play it in good health.

That's a beauty! I used to have an elitist Casino that I regret selling...sort of. I'd much rather have an h530! Congrats!

Very nice, congrats. Love that finish. Heritage could always do a nice burst, that is one of my favs.

Very nice. I grew up in Berrien Co., btw. Not too far from you. My mom still lives there.

This is exactly the kind of guitar I was thinking of when I posted this in the "ES-330 Dream" thread.

"I always wondered why G didn't make a fancier version of the 330. Similar to the 335->355 variation. Of course there was the Crest, but that's the opposite extreme."

P-90s will hum, especially when there are light dimmers and a lot of 60 Hz current around. I play pretty quietly and don't notice the hum usually.

Here's a gem that Vinnyvk got me that works like a charm. Thank you, Vinny, once again.

    Sorry! Something went wrong!

It's essentially a 60 Hz notch filter. You can adjust how much noise reduction you want.

The beef with it mainly comes from loud rock and metal players. Some of them believe it alters the sound in a way they don't like. I haven't noticed anything negative about it myself.
