Benedetto Carino 12 - made by Henriksen for a few years ca. 2015. Lightly modified Henriksen Jazzamp 312 “voiced by Bob Benedetto” - Fantastic amp with my 16B but also my Gibson CS-336 and others. My number one for jazz.

1939 Gibson EH-185 - the original piggyback amp
    1960 Supro 10” tweed
    1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb
1966 Fender Princeton - excellent jazz amp
    1966 Fender Bandmaster w 2x12
    1972 Fender Bassman 50 w 2x15
1976 Fender Dual Showman Reverb (135 watt king of clean) with two convertible (open or closed back) Mojotone Lite cabs loaded with 8 ohm JBL E110’s - one of the cabs with Quilter works fine for jazz
Mesa Boogie Mk V 35 with Celestion Neo Creamback
Mesa Boogie TA-30 hed w 1x12 Jensen Electric Lightning
    Vox AD30-VT
    Vox VT80+
Quilter Microblock 45 “pedal amp” used mainly as backup
JBL EON 510 - light and compact powered PA speaker works pretty well as jazz amp alone, better with a Fishman preamp

I also spec’d an amp recently for purchase by a big band I play in and it is light in weight and sounds great- Roland Jazz Chorus 40 (2x10)

Had a Reverb-o-rocket, shouda never sold it.
Now I have a mid 80's Fender Stage 185, never use it any more.
Play my Fender 1995 Blues Jr most the time, it has all the Bill-M mods and a mojotone reverb tank.
My friend gave me a 1996 Fender HRD, 4x10 cabinet with Jensens. I put in an audio taper master volume pot and new tubes, great amplifier, but HEAVY, ugh!

Mostly play acoustic to keep the peace at home, but when everyone is away I crank up my tube amps!

I've added a Blackstar St. James Combo to my toolbox, so now I have 4.
    - Fender Champion (more a decorative item)
    - Blues Jr.
    - "Custom" Vibrolux Reverb
    - Blackstar St. James

I'm thinking about selling the Blues Jr. as the St. James makes it redundant. If anyone is interested (Cologne, Germany) please drop me a PM.

A warm, detailed, transparent clean that’s suitable for jazz can be had from many amps, so apart from the JC22 I don’t buy specifically with jazz in mind. Currently I have 4 amps:
-PRS MT-15, an all-tube head with a big, fat, open clean tone and powerful EQ controls
-ENGL Thunder 50 Reverb combo, a totally underrated all-tube amp with lush spring reverb and great clean tones, built like a tank and can handle any style of music
-The Valve ‘Bimbo’ head and matching cabinet, a very well made vintage Marshall in a 5W package (not suited for jazz)
-Roland JC-22 stereo combo, a compact yet powerful and well-made combo, ideal as a grab & go amp with hollow or semi-hollow guitars

There might be another small amp in my not too distant future but haven’t decided yet. Could be a small Fender (Princeton, DR) or a ToneMaster. Also on the list are a Katana Artist MkII, a Peavey Classic 30 and a Henriksen.

I have been slimming down my gear over the last few years. My main amp is a BluGuitar Amp1 Mercury (100w hybrid floor pedal amp), which is terrific for jazz or rock (I quit my last rock band last summer, but I have some pals who come over to jam some Sabbath & ZZ Top). My gig backup is a TC Bam200, which is a mini 200w bass head. I typically use a 1x12 w/ a Celestion Gold, but for jams w/ bass & drums upstairs I have a Marshall cab loaded w/ 2 Celestion Neo Creambacks. I also have a little Line 6 15w combo for small restaurant gigs where volume is a concern; I pole mount it so it's right in my ear, that helps keep the volume down.

    Zero. No amp at all.

I use a Boss CS-2 compressor plugged into a Boss GE-7 graphic equalizer plugged into a Boss CE-2B Bass Chorus and all this plugged into an Ursa Major SST-282 Digital Reverb.

This chain is then plugged into a mixing board driving high fidelity monitors and a Tascam Digital Recorder.

Much, much, much better than any amp I've ever used before. Indeed something like a Fender Twin Reverb sounds very crude compared to the aforementioned set up.

If anyone would want to use this system for stage work, I would suggest plugging it into a Bryston 2B power amp driving a pair of Celestion DL8 high fidelity speakers.

Edit: January 12 2023 - A drawback of this system is high cost. The UrsaMajor Space Station currently sells for US$ 5,000, used. In which case I would use a Boss Stereo Chorus feeding one of the more affordable reverb/delays. One thing nice about the UrsaMajor is that it takes a mono signal and converts it into the loveliest stereo sound. Most other reverb/delays require a stereo signal, which is why you would need the stereo chorus.

Hi and thank you for disagreeing. It would be a boring world if we were all the same. But yes seriously. So much so that I sold my "beloved" '72 Twin. The Boss/UrsaMajor combination being that much better. To my ears anyway. Do I regret selling the Twin? Not for one instance.

However .... I do note that an awful lot of guitarists really, really like the Twin Reverb, praising it to the skies. So perhaps I was unlucky and got a dud. I do recall that I could get a nice, warm and sweet singing sound out of it if I kept the volume knob no higher than 2. But as soon as I raised the volume past 2 that warm sweetness disappeared, replaced by a clean but toneless and sterile sound which also had a very hard "attack" to it. Disappointing. I would have loved it if I could get that warm sweet tone at all volumes.

A friend suggested Boss pedals to sweeten the sound and it worked to quite some extent, but the sound still had that "edge" to it, most prominent when playing arpeggios. I then got the idea to just connect the pedals directly to the mixing board, eliminating the amp entirely, and I got a very nice sweet tone at all volumes. So the amp got sold, and I've been amp-less ever since.

I could be tempted to try another Twin Reverb, perhaps with better results, but I don't perform live anymore so I have no need for an amp and the Boss/UrsaMajor combination is quite good (I think), especially for jazz. Here's a demo:

Since I saw this post AND it was time for my annual capacitor reformation ceremonies.. I had to glance at the spreadsheet for the answer... an unbelievable 27 tube amps are on my checklist (I have issues) albeit most are converted old PA heads.
Add to that my 5 Solid-state amps:
    Henriksen Convertible
    Quilter 101R
    Polytone MB-3
    Elka 310 (Italian Leslie)
    Fender Rumble 200 Bass amp...

... I'm at 32... Thanks Skip and Jason at Fretboard Journal's Truth about Vintage Amps podcast!
a couple of the best enablers I've ever encountered.. bringing dead unwanted iron back to life is a fantastic thrill.

Wow, interesting, I used to own one of those until not too long ago, good amp, basically a copy of a Mark 1 Boogie.

    I currently own:

    Kemper Profiler
    Fender 57 Tweed Twin RI
    Fender Blues Deluxe

The Kemper is the only one I use right now. I profiled the Acoustic before selling it. I also profiled the Tweed Twin - fantastic amp - before putting it up for sale.
