Nice guitar, lovely sound, delicate playing. Congrats! Oh, and nice composition too, with interesting modulations.

Lovely, Rob. Nice tone... but I give only a small fraction of the credit on that to the hardware.

Blush.
Thanks, guys. Believe me, the guitar is responsive to what you put in.

However, with any Eastman if the dimension is critical to you, I would suggest having some one measure the guitar you plan to buy. My Frank V model is a rather generous 1 3/4". I have seen another Frank V guitar that seemed narrower to me. I don't have good measuring tools but I think the one I have is closer to 1 13/16.

Thanks Danielle,
i had already followed your suggestion, and asked a dealer to measure the nut on a model which caught my eye .it measured 1.3/4” unfortunately
I am uncomfortable with anything wider than 1.11/16”
having used Gibsons for a very long time. The scale length / and number of frets are of little consequence however.
i agree that the Eastmans are very good value and quality likewise the Peerless models.
i just wish Gibson would awake from their torpor and reintroduce their former top quality Archtops ( and at affordable asking prices)
kind regards
SF.

No contest I’m afraid.
Thank you for your suggestion Danielle.

That is one gorgeous guitar. I'm going to be auditioning a 580 next week. Might just take it and a Fender Tone Master Twin Reverb home. We'll see.

My interest is piqued, and I see one on CL, fairly local, but it seems to have a floating pickup, does this model come with both floating and set pickups?
-
I've only ever seen set.
-
RM, did you ever get the CC pickup installed? I ask because I have an Eastman AR905CE CC custom, which came with a Lollar CC pickup.
I really do like the acoustic sound of this guitar as well – in fact, I bought a second one as a loaner for a young friend who plays guitar for the New York Youth Symphony Jazz band.

I did, indeed:
Another Charlie Christian pickup to consider
Love it!
