Seymour Duncan made. Made, past tense. The no longer offer it, and it was essentially a custom order even when they did.

But also, +1 for the fact that the big magnet plate CC pickups are the only real thing.

I read something recently (although I can't find it now) where Pat said that he spends a lot of time setting up his Slaman before every gig and plans to continue using his Ibanez because it's much more stable. I imagine that this is the result: he's got Ibanez to make him a guitar that sounds like the Slaman but needs less day-to-day maintenance.

Pat’s Slaman while sounding fine when it was just him or he and Antonio, as soon as keys and/or bass came in, the guitar while not “lost” in the mix, was diminished to the point that it required more concentration from the listener to really hone in on it. Given that solid spruce guitars are generally brighter than laminates as well as CC pickups being single coils and crisper than humbuckers, I can’t figure out WHY this would occur. Shouldn’t you expect the opposite?

Yes, he's been using the Kemper for a couple of years now. You can see its foot controller next to the Roland synth unit.

The reflections off the "bumps" of the top make me suspect that the PMCC-no prizes for naming creativity- has a laminated maple top. It looks like it is built upon the same body as the PM200 with a fancy metal tailpiece and 3-point mount CC Blade pup.

It seems to be a copy of slaman's project for me...same shape and junction of neck and body...and look at that weird head with different upper and lower cuts (photo 2)... ps: stolen Instagram photos

It’s a mix of Gibson attributes obviously, but it’s not an ES-250.
don't forget that the second version ES-250 circa had picture frames as opposed to open books.

His lucky mojo charcoal bristled toothbrush???

It appears to be a support to drape his two guitars cables over.

It is a toothbrush. The strap button in his guitar fell and he used it instead. He didn’t bother to change it then it became part of his image.

I believe the attachment to the tailpiece is there to support the separation of the two cables

I took another pic trying to capture the guitar. He had 2 1/4 inch cable one for the pickup and one for a mike in the f hole. During there duets he switched to a convincing acoustic sound during the bass solos on some of the songs sorry of it comes out sideways i havent mastered jgf yet posting pics Ibanez working on new Metheny model with CC?-7dd4e51a-e08a-418c-b95f-42e6b9279b7e-jpg

and the three mounting screw holes ...

and the the below pictures are of a 'PMCC'

might be a one off for Pat ...
I hope it goes into production though

Slamin just copied the Gibson models ,nothing original in design..why should ibanez ask him if it’s ok ?
as far as use of cc pickups, I’ve been using them for years as well as other guys I know..it’s been kind of an undercover hero pickup for years..Gibsons are the holy grail..i have 2 . ( I like the lollar humbucking size models as well) The others are fakes, some better than others ..I don’t know where slamin gets his..pats guitar is on the cover of the latest downbeat magazine ..I would buy one if it ever came in to my local music store...maybe.

This sounds really unfair to me. Daniël Slaman and Pat Metheny designed
    together t
he Sister Series that Pat has been using since 2015. It's not a fake Gibson as you intend. It is certainly a model inspired by prewar Gibsons, as any F-hole archtop, but it has many originalities in design, shape and structure.

Knowing Daniël a little bit, I think he doesn't care about the new Ibanez model. I know he finds himself blessed enough to have been selected by great guitarists such as Pat Metheny or Miles Okazaki. He is a very positive-minded people, always looking to the sunny side of things.

    Cheers.

    I just had a thought .....

years ago Ibanez made Pat a one off prototype PM
    it was very nice ....
then they released various PM models high
    and low end ....
but none of them were like the original prototype ....

Pat mainly continued to just use the prototype....
so so maybe he same thing will happen ....

I hope not , cos the one in the pictures looks perfect
    i want one for sure

The first prototype was finished and delivered to Pat early August. He loves it so much that nowadays on tour he has his Ibanez with him for the stage and the Westville to practice. On this particular guitar there were a few other nice design things like stars on the buttons, and arrows on the pickup similar to the arrows on the sleeve of Pat's Kin record (right upper corner). This guitar was in my hands after it was set up a day before it went to Pat. I only can testify that it is a fabulous guitar. I liked it more than the Crest. I made a few pictures of Pat's Westville Unity guitar and its details, but was asked not to share these on the internet.
I believe the gentleman in this video is playing the Westville Unity Pat Metheney tribute guitar:

I saw Metheny last night here in Singapore... and he played (mostly) the same model pictured here with CC pick-up and two 1/4'' plugs sticking out. The second one seems to be for a mic or piezo pickup installed in the lower F-hole. Anyone knows that this is exactly? Love the electro-acoustic sound when he engages both.

@cfibanez .. It's a microphone .. He's been doing that since the 80s. Blending the electric output with that of a microphone. There are some interviews where he describes it.

@Rob ... Does look like gaffa tape, doesn't it?

That piece of tape is where he sticks his extra guitar picks.

Thanks. Do you have any information of the type or brand of microphone? Or else can you point me in the right direction? Thanks. /C
