Got a FlyRig. Sounds like this through an AER Alpha. Not bad I think.

Sounds really good and live is always the acid test, not some home bunker.

Yeah it’s seriously competing with my Princeton now. Hmm.

I did the neck bend and everything lol

I'm trying to shy away from that type of homage in my music these days... but... It's SO MUCH FUN!!!

Right I’ve just used this thing for 8 gigs back to back at a jazz festival.

Given the .... variety .... of amps at venues ranging from Fender Twin to no amp this thing is a can of whoop ass. I had pretty consistent sound all weekend, solid clean tones.

Everything from DI to clean boost and delay pedal.

I even used the plexi for a bit of scofieldish noise.

So +1 to all those jobbing players who recommended. This thing is a beast.

Right I’m off to lie down for a week.

I was looking at a bass fly rig. Maybe I should should buy one of each? There are several guitar ones; glad to hear you had a good experience!

I have a Flyrig for electric gigs - just plug it straight into the PA - and an AER for acoustic gigs. I never thought about combing the two. Now I'm off to try :-)

I tried the same setup a while ago and was underwhelmed. I found I like tele straight into aer better. Not my ideal tone, but it has charm. Normally my Fly rig just plugged into interface and to the computer for home practicing or recording.

But now, after reading that thread about Barniard Jr pedal, and how it could go into effect loop instead of front of the amp, I decided why not with the Fly rig? I did a short test at home and I really liked it! I'm gonna give it a go on gig Wed.

Do do you do the loop or the front connection?

These days I run the FlyRig into a Mooer Radar poweramo/cab IR simulator into the PA and Ibdig the sound of that. The cab sim of the Tech21 stuff is not great IMHO but all the other components of the FlyRig sound good to me.

    More FlyRig noises

Here I’m driving the SansAmp section with the boost.

The Plexi has this weird compression thing going on tho
