It's a fantastic guitar for swing jazz. There must be some mojo remaining from the time Dave Barbour used it with the Benny Goodman orchestra. Here is a video I have done recently with Mauro Sereno, a double bassist with whom I have a swing jazz project. You can hear its sound more in details. Additionnaly, I've done the solo with my 1938 ES-150.

It’s incredible how one of the first pickups invented is still a reference in terms of dynamics and fullness!
I’ve got humbucker and p-90’s equipped guitars, but my go-to most of the time is my CC equipped guitar, so full, so sweet.
