Driver "attempted delivery", got an email from FedEx and called right away, told the dispatcher "tell the driver to ring the intercom there's $20.00 for him to come back. It's 40 now, but was pretty cold earlier.
Anyway I got it inside and let it rest 20 minutes in the guest room, case was warm enough to unpack. So I took these office shots as it's a wee chilly to shoot outside. Tomorrow perhaps. My overall impression is that is has a slightly butterscotch hue to it, the wood IS truly amazing and I can't see the checking, much less feel it. I'm gonna take a nap and later will see if there's porch worthy weather. It's sure nice looking. Warm enough to unpack but to cool to the touch to tune up. Maybe tonight, meanwhile it's in the office which is the coolest room in the house.
I'm glad I did it...

I still feel pretty lousy so I braised up some oxtails and then transferred everything to a even bigger pan and threw in every kind of vegetable I had into the soup pot. Covered and slow cooked in the oven. It's just what I needed , aside from the guitar getting here in one doggone piece. The checking, I don't know man, if it's checked I'm ok with it...

Yes it says Citation on the tailpiece. I'm going to post full sized shots now, I'll get outside tomorrow and get some close ups of everything again. We're to have warmer weather. I want to show off the top also, it's some lovely wood. It's pretty doggone nice in every respect...
Two bowls of my braised oxtail vegetable soup set me straight !! 2nd load if dishes are going and it's time to unwind. Thanks for all the compliments and encouragement guys...
