I became obsessed with picks for a while. I've always enjoyed trying different sizes, shapes, materials, etc. I've been playing thicker picks for years (always at least 2.0mm or thicker). I REALLY became obsessed with boutique faux tortoise shell picks about 2 years ago. I wanted a real one, but...... Anyway, I bought and tried all I could find. Pearse, Hense, Django's, JB's, EML picks, etc. Well, I found out about Manouche picks (manouchepicks.com). He's out of Holland. He's a one man operation and is very responsive to emails, questions, and the like. The friendliest guy you could ever want to meet. They are incredible!!! I'm telling ya, I have four of them now, and they are by far the best sounding and feeling picks I've ever laid my hands on. He names them all as well. The four I have are 3.0mm. From L to R: Romino, Django (2 of them), and Eliza. They are so smooth. No drag at all across the strings. They just glide. Rounded/beveled edges. Made of Art Nouveau Tortoise and Shellrin Tortoise Bioplast/Cotton Fibre. They totally feel "played in". I doubt I'll find one any better than these for my style of playing anyway. And they aren't crazy expensive either. Somewhere around $20/$30 USD.
Hello
wanted to share my last exparience with the Quilter amps.
I finally opted for the Quilter Tone Block 202 which I have paired with my RE Stealth 10 cabinet (old production series from Reazer)....
The tailpiece assembly is part of the system. There are several factors to consider when setting up a stop tailpiece, especially when the guitar got a carved top or an arched top like a semi.

"Prenotched" doesn't mean we are good to go. It just means that we don't have to notch the saddles ourselves prior to slotting. Also note that "prenotched" always means that the...
I have an 18 inch blond acoustic Campellone. I'm thinking about electrifying it.
It's rather plain with no bling, but it's beautiful. It has a rosewood fingerboard and an extra wide nut. I...
Cummings has taken a nuclear action, terminating the performing rights agreements for all the Guess Who songs he wrote, removing the copyright protections that allow the band (or anyone else) to...
Individual style is important. To develop it you have to balance assimilating your influences with cultivating your inner values. Then practice hard to play well so your style can be realized. And...
I don’t understand what you’re describing. There is no such thing as a DC transformer. Transformers work because AC in the primary winding induces AC in the secondary winding, with the ratio of...
That was exhaustive- and exhausting- reading. The minutiae of guitar production and collecting is frequently astonishing. Especially in mass produced products where all kinds of variations happen...
Randy was a close friend of Lenny Breau's, so he might have some interesting guitars for auction.
He's also Canadian, so maybe he's even got a Beauregard in there.
Randy and the great vocalist...
I just did a quick test with my Joyo American Sound pedal into a solid state amp using a 1Spot power supply. I was using a single coil (non-humbucking) pickup and I was near some LED lights on a...
Epiphone are making really excellent guitars these days. I find they're coming back to the early 90's Korean quality
I tried one of the very new ES335 with the new headstock, it was as good as any...
Maybe, I just don't think of it that way because I could pick any set of notes and reassemble them like that, in this case the first eleven notes of the tune, which you could hardly call a lick...
You are correct. If the tone pot on typical magnetic pickup equipped guitar is rolled all the way back, the tone cap will be in parallel with the much smaller cable capacitance, so cable capacitance...
The longest I've used it was for a 4-hr job, running a Quilter combo and my 9v pedalboard using an iSpot. It only went down one bar. I can't comment on charging time because I've never had it down...
