I see they have a humbucker version:
Reverend Limited-edition Pete Anderson Eastsider Electric Guitar - Sweetwater.com

Pete very much wanted a Gibson like guitar for that specific model. Although it has a telecaster shaped body, it has a set neck, with a Gibson scale length.

Not wanting to sound condescending or anything but it does strike me as odd that so many players are soooo pre-occupied with the feel-difference between one or 2 millimeters in neck width/depth etc. .... sometimes the overwhelming choices really get in the way of making music. I grew up playing all sorts of different guitars, neck sizes and shapes all over the place - I WANTED to play these guitars and got used to their individual quirks. I do have to adjust for a while when I have to practice some tunes on my nylonstring but it does not take more than maybe a day, two practice sessions.

Re which Tele to get this my latest story : I wanted a low-tuned guitar and was looking at Baritone models but found nothing intriguing when I stumbled onto the site of a larger online dealer offering a "Jet Guitars" Tele model for € 180,- /$ 200 with a solid poplar body, a roasted maple neck and locking tuners. It even came in a gigbag... After swapping out the pickups, pots, the nut and the bridge I now have it set up tuned down to D and am amazed at the sound, the playability, the sustain - the neck feels perfect, the guitar is 100% stable and I would match it up against ANY model costing 4 or 5 times as much. An absolute winner for me and testament to the build quality coming out of the far east these days, they are getting better and better. For an assembly-line-built guitar that cost me € 400,- (100 for the Tremola, 50 for the bridge, 50 for the Hot Rails bridge pup) as it is now this is absolutely formidable !

Is this a Les Paul that wants to identify as a tele or vice versa? A little confusing, but it's ok, I'm not transphobic.

Wouldn't be for me. Never liked the feel of a Les Paul. And as far as the necks never liked any Gibson period. (I've heard the vintage ones are different thou).

    Different folks different strokes.

Teles are basically a Model T Platform on which to build your preferred options on. Best advice is try as many as possible and see which one works for you!

Yeah, I think you're right, I'm finding that there's a decided limit to what specs can tell me: the necks width, profile, scale length, neck joint design, etc., all play a part.

Nice find, there are some excellent budget guitars being made but to quote Forrest Gump, "it's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get," i.e., the quality of them can be hit or miss.

Or, as I like to call them, the original Erector-set guitar.

Cheaper than a Gustavsson, I suppose. I like!
