absolutley
but
and im not arguing
given that the jazz guitar market is tiny
and given that there are , some , if not many guitarists, who when they DO decide they need a 'jazz box', so they can play Moondance, or DSummertime, or whatever, will likely seek a gibson, without feeling the need to research or possibly try, all due in large part to being a familiar , high end brand-after all, all you need to do is look at old record covers or Cds of jazz players and what is it they are playing so very often
benedetto shares this as well as montellone-not due to the photo /american music istory thing so much, but simply like a bently or Dom, its known as a very high end article of exquisite quality
but , a gibson, may have a broader appeal-who but ted nugent would sport a byrdland? or chuck berry with his old 350
my point is that for the average, non jazzer wanting a full hollow, 'who you gonna call?'
