Yeah, that and the sort of half-herringbone purfling. The detail on this guitar is ridiculous. It was a very lucky find. Your 575 is beautiful, too. I really like that they left it relatively un-ornamented and let the wood speak for itself.

I wantedd that sucker quite badly. For me in my short time in this Jazz guitar world, a late 90s/early 2000s Gibson L-5 in sunburst is the pinnacle.

According to current beauty pageant criteria, as specified earlier in this thread, my best looking guitar is a tenor banjo. I like elaborate banjos and simple guitars, so in my opinion my prettiest guitar is my Epiphone Devon, of which I don’t have a photo at the moment. It has a gorgeous sunburst. But here is the non-guitar content. Don’t shoot me.

This 1989 L-5 has to be the prettiest guitar I have. Previously owned by our dear departed brother, David Adams (jazzkritter), I feel blessed to have become its caretaker 6 months before we lost Dave. Cherished by Dave and played by his teacher, Tal Farlow, it’s my prettiest and most special guitar. Very light natural top when new, now aged to a lovely amber. Sounds as good as it looks.

That's a 1980s Fender Japan "Sonny" Telecaster with a lovely sunburst and a 1970s blonde Gibson Johnny Smith. My tastes lean more toward those that are older and more seasoned.
