I just saw that Pat Metheny is using a Tonex pedal live. The Kemper seems to be history…There is a short video about his setup that some of you might find to be interesting.

I didn't hear him say they were going to make his patch available ... or did I miss that? Now, if we could just get Pat to sit down with Neural and develop a plug-in.
-
Pat's tech says there are several guitars played on the show, but only mentions one patch or amp on the Tonex. Was Pat using the same patch/amp for all guitars? Any effects besides that? Was the Tonex all he was using? That was one huge endorsement if there ever was one.

That processing technology is advancing fast! However, I have no interest until they develope the tech and a 1-10 selection knob for talent level and the corresponding playing level as a result of it. Lol!

They’re on sale. I just ordered one to try
-
I saw them on sale with Sweetwater. $100 off.

He carries a gazillion of stuff on tour, so i don't think that was the case. Tonex one being on sale right now is a really great bargain if one has even the slightest interest/use for a small digital interface like that. But Tonex one will really be a lot more useful after the next software update IK has announced, which will deliver a much needed real time editor on the pedal.
-
Where did you see the info about the coming update? I wound up cancelling my order after watching a few videos and thinking it looked like too much fussing to work with
-
The official IK representative has said so on numerous forums, the next update will have a live editor.

The Tonex One pedal looks like a cheaper alternative to Metheny's Tonex, but I can't really tell if there's a clean modeled amp.
The list of presets seem to be the usual set of suspects, but with other pedal effects already added. For example, in the audio demos, there is a Fender Deluxe Reverb '65, but it has added the Xotic RC booster and Rex Møller – great for shredding, not so much a clean jazz sound.
In other words, for me, this wouldn't be a substitute for the TC Combo Deluxe '65.

These guys above have Henriksen captures for sale as well, gotta check them, perhaps i'll buy a couple! I thought the standard clean Fender presets on the Tonex were decent, i tried a few paid ones that were also good. Problem is that if you want to gig with these sounds, they all sound waaaay different at gig volume over a sound system or full range (acoustic) amp, and i tried a bunch of them, i was kind of disappointed to be honest. But for house playing and recording i found lots of sounds that to me sound and feel better than the HX stomp and Boss Gt1000 (so modeling). Even the Fractal FM3 which had stellar effects didn't seem to have such a difference over studio monitors and headphones with the Tonex one as far as amp sim was concerned..
I posted a video at another Tonex thread, here are a couple more with an archtop (stock first sound you hear when you get the Tonex), and with the Tele i think it was an Amalgam Twin capture
-
I bought a 19$ package with 5 Henriksen Bud 6 and one Polytone captures from the above site. They are a lot closer to jazz sounds than the regular clean Fenders available, very well done captures. My favorites for jazz on tonex so far.
