Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a second amp since my DV Mark needs service and I have some gigs these days. Do you know if there really is a noticeable difference between the Cube 60 or the Cube 80? I have access to both. Thanks.

Interestingly, I have both. The Cube 60 was a gift from a friend who played bass with Steve Miller. He used it for quiet practice back when he had an apartment in the 80's. I used it for my band rehearsals. It sounded great with keyboards, bass and guitar, basically anything I plugged into it. Plenty loud unless the drummer got rowdy. The only drawback was a bit of hiss when the treble was to high. Otherwise it's built like a tank and still sounds great to this day, whenever I take it out of storage, that is.
I bought the Cube 80GX as a back up rig. It's a very good little amp with more features and volume than the 60. Still has a bit of hiss due to its noise gate, but overall a solid little amp. Roland upgraded the GX with the 80XL model. It has many of the GX features plus a better noise gate (minimal hiss), a built-in looper and an extension speaker-out (like the old Cube 60).
Each of these are durable and capable little solid state amps, but to me the best one is the 80XL.
Here's another thread discussing these cool Roland workhorse amps:
What do you think about Roland Cube 80X vs 80GX vs 80XL?
