Wow, sounds great -- phat and sweet. (You know how to play anyway.)
Are those Alumitones? And if so: Which ones?

Nice! I love them on my Tele, too. Now you got the fever, baby!!!
I love the combination of thunk and chime. And with EQ, they have an amazing tonal spectrum.

From these specs, anyway, the Fusion Jazz 251 Neck and Deathbucker appear to be identical.
The plain Alumitone appears to be similar to the Fusion/Deathbucker but with a little more high end (lower resistance).Last edited by dconeill; 10-06-2024 at 10:57 PM.

But now I think I will go after you in one of my three PAC 120S-s. You really sound great with the normal humbucker and the deathbucker.
Never underestimate a heavy metal pickup for straight ahead jazz. I have Häussels that were designed for heavy rock actually in another PAC 120s and everytime I take that guitar to a session someone asks what kind of guitar that is. So I tell them I bought it from a stoner rocker haha. (He had taken away the Yamaha logo.)
In the end the sounds comes from the imaginative power of a mind controlling the fingers but the Alumitones seem to make it easy to realize the sound you hear in your head.

So it’s impossible to use the electrical specs to predict how Alumitones sound.
