    Hi All

I’ve just received two packs of my beloved D’Andrea 358 Pro Plec 1.5mm (from different suppliers) only to find to my horror that they are bigger than they used to be. I don’t mind the new matte finish….but the change in size is a problem.

Anyone else having the same experience?

How much bigger? My Goldilocks size is the Fender 358. I've found the Pro Plec 358 to be too small. This makes me want to give it a second whirl.

My original Pro Plec 358 are pretty much exactly the same size as he Fender 358. These new ones are a little wider and around 3mm taller.

I have original Pro Plec 358s that are significantly smaller than Fender 358s. I'll post some photos, if not when I get home later today, then sometime in the next few days. I have no use for them, so if you'd like them, maybe we can figure something out.

This is very disturbing information. I have bought a plenty good stock of the D'Andrea 358s, but some day they will be gone.

Could You take exact measurements of the new dimensions.

Here are the dimensions of the old ones:

I always wonder what motivates marketing types to change a product specification and to not rename it? Is it that they feel the need to coattail on the successful name of a product? Wouldn't it be easier and less deceitful to have named the larger 358 Pro Plec something like the 358+ or 358I for improved and leave the original spec product for those who want them?
