In an effort not to hijack chris32895's Ephiphone Zephyr thread I'll post the pics of the inside of my guitar here. My phone fit right in the f hole. It's really a cool view into the guitar.

There appears to be a lot of dog hair by the jack inside. Or maybe that’s Mojo…

Someone needs to build a jazz club that looks like the inside of an archtop. That would look great with some purple velvet lounges and couches and a nice lit up bar behind it. Put the band back behind the bridge....

Take off the pick guard

The interiors of violins are cleared of dust and debris by pouring in some uncooked rice and manipulating the violin so as to allow the rice to slide around gently, then poured out.
I guess that might not be so good for a guitar with electronics inside.

That spliced wire with yellow:white insulation looks like the ground wire to the tailpiece. It doesn't need to be insulated at all. As long as the solder joint is solid, it's fine. If it's actually something else (I can't really tell for sure, but I don't know what else it could be) then you might consider rewiring it, but for a ground wire it's fine as is.

Anyway, here's a (blurry) picture of a big ball of crap that was in my guitar when I bought it. The dark spots also weren't mold, it was actually more dust hanging in some cobwebs.

I see a repair on the top too.
