It absolutely amazes me how quickly M Campellone completes a batch of 6 archtop’s while others barely complete 1 archtop in the same amount of time. He must have a serious system while being fast and efficient. Considering his age we don’t see any slowdown. I find that astonishing!

Agree. I blinked while I pursued a few other things and I’m sure I have missed entire batches!

    Agreed-he's very well organized.

And very clean. Try and find some sawdust anywhere in his shop.

I don’t know the man, but Mr. Campellone seems to have just the right mix of the artist and the engineer in him for this work!

His binding and inlay work is absolutely outstanding. The Cameo headstock is a pure work of art. I'm really surprised he even lets us into his world to see the build process going so far as to take time to thoroughly answer questions from lowly forum members, another unique aspect of Mike's personality and craft. Generous with his time! Batch is looking great as always. Blessings Mr. Campellone and you too Vinny!!!!

It looks as though the Cameo extended heel cap is the default option now .

That is a perfect description of Mark.
And he thinks some of it is luck.. That’s how good he is.

I know, but I can’t believe how quick and efficient he is! He knocks out 6 archtop’s in no time!

Now this is the photo I've been waiting for! An astute observer should be able to infer the direction that my guitar is headed.

Neck progress and the body is a Hammertone project.

I thought it was wider than a 17” and yet not quite an 18.”

No, those have a different look. This is a Glassl built as a Glassl, although he did a handful of these for Hopf as well, as shown below. This is one his very few "Gibson-style" acoustic carved-top guitars - most of his work is based on the designs of other West German builders. More importantly, this guitar is a total acoustic tone monster. Its vanishingly miniscule neck is undergoing the Charles Atlas treatment. Most importantly, Mark gets a kick out of it!

Wow. Lots of unusual (for Mark) inlays in this batch!
