They sent an email saying up to 18% off. There are a lot of strings listed and I can't tell which is the bargin, but they are saying all of them are on sale. Might be worth a look.

I dunno but they have consistently had the cheapest sets of LaBella jazz flats of anyone online by a good margin in the last year or so since I started using them. 16.95ea. I love strings by mail and juststrings.com. Those two places are where I get all my stuff, the sets from Strings by mail and the generic plain gauges by the dozen (not rolled up either) from juststrings.com. Those generic juststrings brand string sare of high quality IME and very affordable for making full custom sets.

I know, I order from them often as well. I'm just not knowledgeable about TI string cost. And then there the "up to 18% off". Seems like it should say how much you are saving with each set, but I checked several, and it doesn't. I have to admit their shipping cost of around $5 for a few single strings annoys me though.

I put several sets of GB’s in the cart. No discount was offered.

I sent them an email asking for clarification. "How do you know if there is a discount? It doesn't say on the the string set detail page, or when you add a string set to the cart."

Strings and Beyond is taking another 10% off the same prices that Strings by Mail is charging right now. Both are showing $28.76 for Jazz Swings and $38.80 for Bensons, which is already well below what they've been charging for most of the last year. With the extra 10%, S&B is getting $25.89 and $34.92 for them. So the Strings by Mail prices are very good, and the S&B prices are truly bargains if you like TIs.

I've stocked up on them every time one of these sales comes along. I use JS113s on my carved archtops, Benson 114s on my laminated archtop, and JS112s on my solid bodies. These are the lowest prices I've seen since last year.

I agree, too. I migrated from Just Strings to Strings and Beyond a few years ago. I've used Strings by Mail for single TI wound G strings for my TI BeBop 12 sets. Although I just realized that Strings and Beyond sells single TI 21s also. But it looks like I still need to use Strings by Mail to get a TI 20 from the Benson set, which costs more as well.

Strings and Beyond is awesome, my go to. They have a great Black Friday sale every year and I stock up then.

The secret is to check them both regularly. One or the other will often give an extra discount on something for a brief period, and that’s when I pick up a few extra sets or some bulk singles. The Black Friday deals have been excellent.

I used to buy several sets every time they were on sale for really low prices, and I keep new strings that didn’t come in factory sealed airtight bags in a food container with silica gel packs. When prices started going up dramatically, I bought more than usual. But I only switched to TIs a few years ago, before which I was using Chromes and replacing them every 3 or 4 months depending on the guitar (how much use it got and how long the strings went without audible change).

I’m getting 12+ months from TI flats on all of my guitars, changing only E1 and B more frequently (especially on the solid bodies I use for blues). So I now have 4 unopened sets of heavy Bensons, 5 JS113s, 2 JS112s, a Chrome light and a Chrome medium, plus about a dozen each of plain steel 11s, 13s, and 17s. With prices seemingly stable and supply readily available now, I won’t be buying any more for a long time.

It looks like the Bensons will go even longer on my laminated box than the JS113s. So my current stock will probably last (or even outlast) me for years. Even so, I probably won’t be able to resist a great sale

Here is their reply. They said sorry for the confusion then:

We are working on making it more clear that they are on sale.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
    Cheers,
    Matt
