I've extensively googled for one of these. I think they'll be in the same black hole as switch rubber grommets!! The case came with my 2005 L5CES so I'm assuming the case is the same age.

Thank you. It looks an exact match. I'll search it in the UK.

I had one break and TKL sent me a replacement. Still haven't found anyone to install it yet!

I messaged the seller to check the size as the shipping is a lot to the UK and I don't want the wrong item. They replied quickly but said it was too small for a guitar case!!
My gut feel is that they are wrong. I'm looking for backing plate size 2 3/8" x 1 3/8".

Pop-rivet gun with steel (vs. Alum.) rivets?

Messy (non-, hopefully) part is probably getting under the fluffy lining and reattaching it politely.

I think they will be split rivets which don't require a gun. If careful the old ones may be reusable.

After some further clarification with the seller, he has confirmed it is an exact match! So it's now bought - a very expensive latch with the shipping charge and duties but I'm happy now! Thanks again.

A garter could have done the trick, no?

Please let us know if you tackle the installation, if it isn't too bad, I may try it myself!

I may have to source new rivets - none come with the latch nor does the seller have them in stock.
It's the pulling back the lining that slightly worries me.

So the latch has reach Melrose Park, IL on its' travels.
Only just over 3800 miles to go!
