Looks like stores are starting to get them in stock. These specs are from the Chicago Music Exchange listing. Says that its a proprietary Ibanez made pickup, which isn't surprising given the price and country of origin.

PM3(C)? Sounds like a PM2 with aesthetic tweaks and a CC pickup so more likely to be a 24.75 scale. The PM2 is a great little archtop, so should be good.

Here we go... the official Ibanez page is up:

Spruce top, 1.5k bucks? Ok
-
Is it a solid spruce top or a laminate?
-
Going to be a laminate. If it was a solid spruce top, the specs would specifically call that out. If they don't mention it, it's a laminate.
-
pickup is “pm special” so
made by/for Ibanez presumably
I note the ceramic magnet
I didn’t expect that ….
Thomann to have them in stock
in 9-12 weeks

I think I want one......
-
Ibanez neck profile specs say "20mm at 1F"
Damn, same as my PM35 and that's the reason I sold it. Probably makes it a pass for me. Not surprising Ibanez makes then neck thinner but I was hoping it would say at least 21mm

No, it's not a big deal to make a pressed spruce top, but usually the marketing flacks will call that out as a "solid spruce top." Given that Pat has mostly used laminate archtop guitars since his ES-175, I'd be almost surprised if this one was also not a laminate. However, the Slaman on which this guitar was based had a carved spruce top, if I remember correctly, so maybe they went with a pressed top.

Here's an interview with Pat discussing the guitar. He talks a bit about the inspiration for the pickup
“The new Ibanez guitar is exceptional, won’t be too expensive… I am pretty excited about it”: Pat Metheny’s new signature jazz box is out now – and the Charlie Christian-inspired pickup is star of the show | MusicRadar

That guitar looks like a classic already. Is this going to be a mainline production or a special issue model ?
-
it’s on the ibanez site as a
normal production model
Can anyone who plays one
report back on how heavy
built (or not) it is please ?
-
Rightly or wrongly, I was hoping for a MIJ version of this with a Lollar pickup
-
Sweetwater says they have them, but they are getting acclimated to the warehouse. Still zero youtube video. There's just a picture of metheny holding it.
-
I’m starting to see a lot of ads for this guitar on Facebook etc.
I think this has the potential to be a real winner, especially with new guitars like the 175 being out of the picture.

Ibanez PM3C Pat Metheny Signature in Natural Amber - Andertons Music Co
yeah seeing ads in the UK now too
not available just yet …,

What I don't understand is that they again went with a less wide cut cutaway. As far as I know, he has/had a much deeper cutaway on all his personal customized models. Maybe not that important, but it's one feature that's not available on many other archtops...(22 frets with a deep cutaway).
You can see it e.g. in this video: at around 01:42
One head, two cabs.
