I think funk and the slap style of bass playing is what really caught me into wanting to learn to play but admittedly beyond bands like RHCP, Mudvayne and one or two funk artists I'm pretty ignorant of music that is "bass forward" for the lack of a better descriptor.
Thus, I'm curious what music you guys really enjoy that emphasizes the bass guitar and inspires you to not only play but enjoy listening to on a regular basis.
    Thanks so much!https://myip.kim/ https://birthdaywishes.onl/ https://elecpay.in/tneb/

Now that everything is available on line and can be slowed down, I guess it could be anything.

But, in a less technologically advanced day, when records were expensive (and I didn't have many) I found it easiest to learn from recordings that weren't too fast.

Paul Desmond and Jim Hall. Johnny Hodges. Some Wes. Some Kenny Burrell. I had records of each.

Hank Mobley has been recommended for that reason, but I didn't encounter him until recently.
