    Agreed, there is simple music, which some people fool themselves into thinking they can play. But to play at the level where you really reach people is not easy in any genre.

    Technically easy to play doesn't mean it has to be musically simple (even if it may seem to be, like "oh, just random notes" )

    I'll admit that I too think that BW is probably more in the corner of technically challenging but musically rather straightforward ... though can you think of a style that has perfected the art of the repeated single note to the extent it is in boogie woogie? ^^
