    Mills Brothers - Merry Christmas

Great old school swing guitar and bass (wonder who it is?) and of course the vocals are impeccable.

Joel Patterson - Hi-Fi Christmas Guitar

    Twang surf we’ll done

Any other suggestions for off the radar stuff?

Here’s one of my favorite albums of all time, and I’m not a fan of Christmas music. It sounds to me like he’s actually playing the guitar (L5, I presume) in the opening picture, too. I even love the YT art - watch while you listen for a gallery of TM memories.

Snowfall, the Four Freshmen. At least some of the tracks have some nice guitar playing. Heard this on Sirius Radio's Christmas channel and was pleasantly surprised:

Hear hear (and that's putting it lightly in my case)... and I always wonder to what extent artists presenting a new-yet-another-same-old-xmas-songs-album really are as joyous about that as they seem/pretent to be.

Justin Johnson has two bluesy ones where the swampyness at least tempers the lame sweetness of most of that music
