    Hello!

I'm just wondering if anyone has this book? I'm looking for a particular section that I saw in it years ago but can't locate a copy at the moment.

    Thanks

I bought the first edition from Ivor Mairants shop in London in 1985!
Very interesting book about the carreer and playing of famous guitarists, and others less known. Who remembers now Arv Garrisson, Tiny Grimes or Les Spann ?

    The author's site :
The History Of The Guitar In Jazz by Norman Mongan

His guitar is presently on sale in Dublin

Anything mentioning Louis Stewart. It's for a research project I'm doing. I'll also try to grab that copy now!

Louis Stewart is mentioned in several paragraphs on page 184 and there is a full page picture of him on page 185.
He is holding a Gibson Super 400 in that black and white photo.

Thanks! I had actually stumbled upon that thread a while back. Very useful. If anyone had any more written material I'd be very interested in seeing it. Or if anyone even any interactions with him back in the day I'd be interested in hearing about it!

Would anyone happen to have the Guinness Who's Who of Jazz and the Great Jazz Guitarists?
